Your Vote Counts: General Election Education

Source: Auckland Council

Delivered by your friendly librarians, these workshops are designed to help our community understand and prepare for the 2020 General Election.

This workshop will provide a factual and impartial introduction to New Zealand’s voting system (MMP) and introduce a range of resources to help you make informed choices when casting your vote.

We will explore the referendum questions, assist you to enrol and ensure you know what to expect on election day.

These workshops will be delivered in English via Zoom.

If you have specific learning, literacy or sensory needs, we can deliver the session in a one to one format too.

We are running these workshops in multiple languages, at various high schools, and an additional session for our rough sleeping community.

For more information, or if you think we can help, we’d love to hear from you at centrallibraryevents@aklc.govt.nz.
