Each year, the Y25 List brings together 25 of the country’s rising trailblazers. The programme, which AUT sponsors, supports 25 young women under 25 who are raising their voices, challenging the status quo and fighting for a fairer Aotearoa.

The year-long programme is run by the YWCA and offers these future leaders the opportunity to attend a two-day hui where they can meet all the other young women as well as hear from inspiring leaders. They are also offered training to help them achieve their personal and professional goals, as well as a mentor to help them along their path.

Tim Huston, AUT’s Director of Commercial Partnerships says although we’ve had a relationship with the YWCA for many years, this particular sponsorship is relatively new.

“We’ve enjoyed having the opportunity to promote the programme to our own student population, provide one of the judges as well as input into the hui. Programmes that help future leaders and changemakers is something we’re always supportive of,” says Tim.
