SH1 Wairakei Roundabout maintenance works

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises road surfacing maintenance will take place overnight on Wednesday 5 August on State Highway 1 at the Wairakei Roundabout.

The road will operate under Stop/Go traffic management on all four approaches to the roundabout between 6pm and 6am to allow contractors to complete asphalt resurfacing on a section of the roundabout. There will also be a 30 km/h temporary speed limit in place.

Motorists are asked to pay attention to instructions from the crew on site.

This work has been scheduled to take place overnight to minimise disruption to motorists. However, delays of up to 15 minutes are possible, and motorists are advised to allow additional time for their journeys.
