Award winning tour company Bush and Beach have launched their first in a series of virtual tours. These tours give a unique interactive insight to the highlights of their Wilderness Experience tour of the Waitakere Ranges west of Auckland.
The carboNZero-certified company has been sharing the black sand beaches and rainforests around Piha and the Waitakere Ranges on guided tour experiences for 36 years. Owner Ben Thornton says “Normally at this time of year we would have been taking overseas agents on famils but with current travel restrictions none of this is happening. We decided to create virtual tours and have started with the tour we have been running for 36 years – the Wilderness Experience.”
“This gives our overseas agents the chance to ‘experience’ our tour and show their clients the sort of views and information they will be getting when they go on the actual tour. We are also doing virtual famils where our sales people step the agents through the tour and explain how the tour runs.”
The virtual Wilderness Experience tour visits the key locations visited on the tour. Each of the seven locations has a 360 degree image to look around and there is pop up information and even some commentary from one of the Bush and Beach guides.
The first tour is online here: virtual tours – It is best viewed on a desktop or laptop and Bush and Beach are currently developing virtual tours of their other tours as well.
