Congratulations to Nelson’s Victory Square Pharmacy. Its Whakakotahi quality improvement project to improve the physical health of people on opioid substitution treatment won the He Tangata/The People – team work with consumer engagement – award at the recent Nelson Marlborough District Health Board Health Innovation Awards.

The project aimed to improve patients’ quality of life through access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment of co-morbidities, enhanced self-awareness and encouraging self-reliance and independence.
