Upcoming resurfacing works for SH35 between Torere and Waihau Bay

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises motorists to expect delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions during upcoming road resurfacing work at multiple sites on State Highway 35 between Torere and Waihau Bay.

Work is planned to take place from Monday 17 to Friday 21 February, weather dependent.

Due to road width constraints, the road will need to be closed for short durations while heavy machinery is moved within the worksite and the road sealing takes place. There will be a 30km/h temporary speed reduction through the site for the duration of the work. Please adhere to posted speeds and drive with care.

This work is part of the Transport Agency’s largest maintenance programme for the last decade.
