Source: Media Outreach
- ZTE presented its infrastructure strategy for agentic finance at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026, emphasizing Zero Failure, Trust, Optimal TCO, and Open Ecosystem
- With proven banking deployments worldwide, ZTE delivers reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and broadly compatible infrastructure to support financial institutions in the era of intelligent finance
HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 6 November 2026 – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, shared its infrastructure strategy and industry practices for the era of agentic finance at Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK 2026, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from November 2 to 6.
Mei Zhonghua, Senior Vice President of ZTE and President of Overseas Enterprise Business, was invited to attend the event. Han Jingyun, Vice President of ZTE, attended the Financial AI Forum and delivered a keynote address entitled “The Runway for Intelligent Finance: Zero Failure, Trust, Optimal TCO, and Open Ecosystem.”
In his speech, Han pointed out that while intelligent finance unlocks tremendous industry opportunities, it also introduces unprecedented challenges: system operational instability, massive computing demand surges, security vulnerabilities across intelligent agents and equipment systems, computing capacity bottlenecks, soaring capital expenditures (CAPEX), and closed proprietary ecosystems. “Every intelligent takeoff demands a trustworthy runway,” he aptly remarked.
Facing the era of intelligent finance, ZTE has established a next-generation financial infrastructure anchored on its three-pillar “ZTE” framework:
Z (Zero Failure) — Architecting a Stable, Financial-Grade Intelligent Foundation
ZTE has built end-to-end full-stack capabilities spanning databases, operating systems, and network infrastructure. Currently, ZTE powers more than 10 billion financial transactions daily across major banking institutions, processing over RMB 10 trillion in daily transaction volume.
Its proprietary GoldenDB distributed database has run smoothly in mission-critical core banking systems for six consecutive years, delivering an extraordinary reliability of over 99.9999% (“six-nines”).
T (Trust and TCO Optimal) — Building Trustworthy, Cost-Efficient Intelligent Infrastructure
On the Trust front, ZTE advances security across both product and AI agent dimensions. GoldenDB was among the first to pass national security and reliability evaluations, with its distributed database achieving a Level II rating (the highest tier currently available); and ZTE’s cloud terminals leverage a zero-trust architecture with zero local data retention, mitigating security incidents by over 70%.
ZTE’s enterprise-grade AI agent platform, Co-Claw, was also among the first to earn official Trusted AI Accreditation from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), with its agent memory capability achieving the industry’s highest Level 4+ rating.
On the TCO Optimal front, ZTE delivers best-in-class TCO solutions across AI servers, cloud platforms, and cloud terminals. ZTE’s AI servers are broadly compatible with mainstream global GPUs, enabling on-demand, flexible selection to satisfy diverse computing requirements. In cloud terminals, ZTE ranks No. 1 nationwide in market share, with its Cloud PC platform serving over 10 million users, supporting unified management of millions of endpoints while repurposing existing assets to minimize capital investment.
E (Ecosystem) — Cultivating Broadly Compatible, Scale-Proven Open Intelligent Infrastructure
ZTE achieves extensive ecosystem compatibility across all technology layers, currently collaborating with over 30 leading industry ecosystem partners.
In Mainland China, ZTE serves all 6 major state-owned commercial banks and all 12 nationwide joint-stock commercial banks, achieving a 100% coverage rate. In Hong Kong, ZTE supports multiple mainstream financial institutions. Across overseas markets, its business footprint spans Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, where ZTE has established long-term strategic partnerships with leading regional banks.
Looking ahead to the era of intelligent finance, ZTE will continue to leverage its three “ZTE” pillars—safeguarding mission-critical operations with Zero Failure, driving sustainable growth through Trust and Optimal TCO, and co-creating value with partners across an Open Ecosystem—to forge an enduring, resilient intelligent foundation for the future of Hong Kong’s financial ecosystem.

3. Marvel Capital Hosts The Family Wealth Blueprint 2026 to Promote Greater Awareness of Family Wealth Planning
November 6, 2026
Source: Media Outreach
Industry professionals and participants gathered in Kuala Lumpur to explore wealth preservation, family trust structures and legacy planning across generations.
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach Newswire – 6 November 2026 – The Family Wealth Blueprint 2026, organised by Marvel Capital Holdings Ltd, was successfully held on 31 October 2026 at Connexion Conference & Event Centre, bringing together individuals and professionals for an insightful exploration of family wealth planning, wealth preservation and legacy strategies.
Group photo of participants, speakers and distinguished guests at The Family Wealth Blueprint 2026, organised by Marvel Capital Holdings Ltd on 31 October 2026 at Connexion Conference & Event Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The forum brought together perspectives on probate, family trust structuring and private assets, giving participants practical ideas on how families can approach estate and wealth planning more comprehensively — from legal succession and ownership structure to liquidity, investment management and intergenerational wealth transfer.
Speaking on “The Family Wealth Blueprint: Beyond a Will to Family Trust Planning,” Dr Eva Wong, Vice President – Business Strategy at Marvel Capital Holdings Ltd, said many families focus extensively on accumulating wealth but spend less time considering how that wealth should be managed and distributed across generations.
“A Will is important, but it may not answer every question a family has,” Wong said. “Families also need to think about who should benefit, when wealth should be distributed, how it should be managed and what happens when circumstances change.”
She added that these questions become more complex when families own businesses, have children with different needs, hold overseas investments or have beneficiaries living in different countries.
For suitable families, an offshore family trust may form part of the overall wealth-planning structure, particularly where cross-border assets, beneficiaries or currencies are involved.
“Offshore planning should not simply be about moving money overseas,” Wong said. “It should begin with the family — where the assets are, who the beneficiaries are and what the family wants the wealth to achieve over the long term.”
Marvel Capital’s role includes offshore trust advisory, wealth structuring and working with professional trustee relationships in jurisdictions including Hong Kong and Labuan.
Wong also stressed that a trust should not be confused with an investment product. “A trust provides the structure for how appropriate assets are held, administered and distributed. Investment performance comes from the underlying assets and investment strategy,” she said.
The conference also featured Choo Mun Wei, Probate Litigation Lawyer and Partner at Ho Partnership & Neoh, who discussed probate, inheritance disputes and succession issues, and Alvin Tan, CEO, Asset & Wealth Division of AEI Capital Group, who addressed private credit and private assets within a broader family wealth portfolio.
One of the central concepts presented by Marvel Capital was that different parts of family wealth should have different jobs, i.e. some for liquidity, some for income, some for long-term growth and some for legacy purposes.
“We don’t start by asking how much someone wants to place into a trust,” Wong said. “We start by asking: What do you want your wealth to continue doing for your family?”
Marvel Capital said the forum forms part of its efforts to increase awareness of structured family wealth planning, offshore trusts and cross-border succession among business owners, professionals, investors and emerging high-net-worth families.
“Wealth is what you build. Legacy is what continues.”

Alipay+ is the unified wallet gateway of Ant International, connecting global wallets like Alipay (China) and other leading payment apps across Siam Piwat retail touchpoints, while offering direct user engagement and exclusive campaigns in-app.
This milestone is the outcome of partnerships with leading payment service providers, including Alipay+, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay, to curate targeted campaigns and exclusive privileges for Chinese travelers, particularly high-value visitors and enthusiasts of luxury products.
Building on this success, Siam Piwat has expanded its collaboration with global tech leader Huawei and China’s leading entertainment platform iQIYI to bridge the platforms’ user bases with travel and retail experiences in Thailand, engaging visitors throughout the entire customer journey, from pre-trip inspiration to on-site spending and activities at the destination.
Another distinctive highlight is Siam Piwat’s collaboration with Trip.com, which connects travel offers on Ctrip’s WeChat Mini Program with exclusive privileges at MINISO ICONSIAM. This allows Chinese tourists to enjoy special benefits even before they arrive in Thailand. This model enables us to engage Chinese travelers during the trip-planning stage, introducing them to Siam Piwat’s shopping destinations and the privileges available through the ONESIAM Global Visitor Card.
Siam Piwat’s China partnership drives a twofold increase in Golden Week sales and earns the company Thailand’s only Alipay+ Growth Award, while collaborations with premium partners Huawei and iQIYI enhance the end-to-end journey for high-value Chinese visitors.
Chinese Partnerships Drive Transaction Growth
Since 2018, Siam Piwat has collaborated with Alipay+ to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, exclusive privileges, and digital payment solutions for international visitors. In the first eight months of 2026, transactions via Alipay+ grew 2.3-fold, while the number of active users surged 2.5 times compared to the same period last year.
During the Golden Week holiday, Siam Piwat partnered with Alipay+ and WeChat Pay to launch exclusive campaigns and tailored promotions for Chinese visitors across retail shops and luxury brands. This initiative drove a 100% year-on-year surge in sales, demonstrating the effectiveness of partnerships in boosting tourist spending.

Furthermore, travelers can sign up via a one-click WeChat Mini Program, minimizing repetitive form-filling and offering greater convenience. International visitors from other countries can also register via the official website or Huawei Wearables.
This initiative forms part of Siam Piwat’s pre-arrival engagement strategy, designed to build brand awareness and inspire travelers right in the home country before their actual experiences at Siam Piwat’s five landmarks. The program also offers year-round “always-on” privileges, ranging from best deals and luxury retail campaigns to exclusive offers, extending benefits beyond peak travel seasons.
Joining Forces with iQIYI to Attract Chinese Fans Through Fandom Marketing
Siam Piwat has also joined forces with iQIYI, China’s leading streaming platform with premium Asian content, to spearhead a fandom marketing strategy under the concept of “From Screen to Real-World Experience,” capitalizing on the popularity of Chinese artists and entertainment content to generate motivation for a trip to Thailand.
Among the pilot activities was the iQIYI Starship: Spring of The Blade Meet & Greet, which brought Chinese superstar Xu Kai to meet fans at Siam Paragon. The event generated massive social media buzz and expanded brand visibility across fan communities in mainland China and around the world. By connecting iQIYI’s fan base to real-world experiences at Siam Paragon, the partnership has enhanced destination recall and inspired travel, particularly among younger generations of tourists.
Expanding the Global Ecosystem to Unlock New Growth Opportunities
Siam Piwat has been working actively to expand its global ecosystem through alliances with leading international partners across technology, tourism, payment solutions, and entertainment, including Huawei, iQIYI, Trip.com, Alipay+, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay, with the ultimate goal of connecting travelers to its ecosystem throughout every phase of their journey, from pre-trip planning to dining, lifestyle activities, and shopping in Thailand.
Furthermore, Siam Piwat is enhancing campaigns and exclusive privileges for high-spending travelers, especially in the luxury segment, to maximize spending potential and reinforce Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM’s positions as premier luxury shopping destinations in the region.
This strategy reinforces Siam Piwat’s position as a global destination and ecosystem developer and a partner of choice for leading global enterprises. 6. Funding for better connections in Kaikōura
November 4, 2026
Source: New Zealand Government
Locals and visitors will benefit from improved access in central Kaikōura, with the Government providing a grant of up to $500,000 from the Regional Infrastructure Fund for new facilities, Regional Development Minister Shane Jones and Tourism Minister Louise Upston say.
Kaikōura District Council will contribute $250,000 towards the $750,000 project, which will improve links between the West End, town centre, visitor facilities and the wider walking and cycling network, including the Whale Trail.
The project comprise a new pedestrian and cycle bridge across Lyell Creek and an extension of the West End car park
“Kaikōura is a tourism success story, and we need to make sure its infrastructure keeps pace. Better access around the town centre will improve the experience for visitors while making it easier for locals to get where they need to go,” Ms Upston says.
“Improving parking and walking and cycling links will make it easier to get around town and help local businesses make the most of the visitors Kaikōura attracts.”
The car park extension is expected to add around 60 spaces, alongside a new access road, footpath and recreational green space. The pedestrian and cycle bridge across Lyell Creek will provide a more direct link between the West End, town centre and wider walking and cycling network.
“This is exactly the sort of targeted regional infrastructure the Regional Infrastructure Fund is designed to support. It meets a practical local need and will make Kaikōura a better-connected place to live, visit and do business,” Mr Jones says.
The project will now progress through detailed design, costing, consenting and procurement before construction can begin.

7. September labour market data further proof of how badly the Luxon Government has mismanaged the economy NZCTU
November 4, 2026
Source: NZCTU
Data released today by Stats NZ shows how the Luxon Government has completely wrecked the job market.
“Since the Luxon Government took office, unemployment has increased from 4 percent to 5.7 percent, and the number of people unemployed has increased by 51,000,” says Sandra Grey, President, New Zealand Council of Trade Unions Te Kauae Kaimahi.
The unemployment rate is now at its highest level since 2015, and there are more people unemployed than any time since 1993.
“Underutilisation has increased from 10.8 percent to 13.8 percent, with a record 438,000 people lacking work. The Luxon Government pledged to address the cost-of-living crisis, but you can’t do this by driving people into un- and under-employment,” says Grey.
“Long-term unemployment is at crisis levels. Over 72,000 people have been out of work for more than 6 months, up over 150 percent since 2023. People in long-term unemployment make up 43 percent of total unemployed, the highest this rate has been since 1995,” says Grey.
Luxon’s mismanagement has been devastating for Māori and Pasifika workers. Māori unemployment has increased to 11.1 percent and Pasifika unemployment to 11.8 percent. Underutilisation rates have climbed above 20 percent for both groups.
“The Luxon Government has delivered nothing but three years of pain for these communities,” says Grey.
“Since 2023 youth unemployment has increased from 10.3 percent to 17 percent, and the number of young people not in employment, education, or training has increased to 95,300, the highest number on record,” says Grey.
“Jobseeker numbers have skyrocketed under the Luxon Government. Compared to when Luxon took power, almost 31,000 more people are on Jobseeker Support, an increase of 16 percent. This is despite the Government making it increasingly hard for people to get welfare support when it’s needed,” says Grey.
“To make matters worse, real wages are going backwards on all measures. When adjusted for inflation, annual wage growth measured by the labour cost index fell 1.6 percent and average hourly earnings fell 0.8 percent. How are working families meant to make ends meet when their wages aren’t keeping up with prices?” says Grey.
“No matter what indicator you look at, things have just gotten worse. On many metrics, the job market is in a worse state than any time since the early 1990s. We’ve seen mismanagement of historic proportions from Luxon, and this has had devastating impacts on workers and their whānau right across the country,” says Grey.
New Zealand’s unemployment rate is well above the OECD average of 5 percent, and way above Australia’s rate of 4.6 percent. “Other countries have faced the same inflationary challenges, but have managed this without destroying their job markets,” says Grey.
“The numbers are crystal clear: the Luxon Government has failed the working people of New Zealand. It’s time to vote for change,” says Grey.

8. Woodfibre LNG Project to Generate $13.6 Billion in Economic Output and $11.6 Billion in Government Revenue
November 3, 2026
Source: Media Outreach
New economic impact study highlights significant contributions to Canada’s economy, job creation and long-term growth in British Columbia
SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 3 November 2026 – The Woodfibre LNG Project is delivering substantial economic benefits to Canada and British Columbia, with construction activities expected to contribute nearly $13.6 billion in economic output to the Canadian economy and generate an estimated $11.6 billion in government revenue over the project’s construction and planned 40-year operating period.
According to a new economic impact study conducted by Canadian strategy and research firm Deetken Insight, the investment in the Woodfibre LNG facility and FortisBC’s Eagle Mountain Pipeline is expected to generate significant economic activity across the country, supporting businesses, creating employment opportunities and contributing to government revenues.
The study estimates that construction activities will contribute nearly $7 billion to Canada’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), generate approximately $3.6 billion in labour income and support more than 52,000 modelled employment-years, representing over 15,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The project and associated pipeline activities are also projected to generate approximately $11.6 billion in government revenue over the construction and 40-year operating period. This includes an estimated $6.8 billion for British Columbia and approximately $485 million in municipal property taxes.
These revenues are expected to come from various sources, including resource royalties, income taxes, carbon tax, property tax, motor fuel tax and provincial sales tax.
Luke Schauerte, President and CEO of Woodfibre LNG, said: “Woodfibre LNG has yet to produce its first shipment of LNG, but the project is already delivering significant economic benefits to British Columbia and Canada. We’re generating jobs, supporting businesses, creating opportunities for First Nations and contributing to economic growth in communities across the province and country today. These benefits are already being realised, and they represent just the beginning of the economic contribution Woodfibre LNG will make over the next 40 years.”
Beyond its direct economic contributions, Woodfibre LNG, a member of the RGE group of companies founded by Sukanto Tanoto, has invested $50 million in the cleanup and remediation of the former Woodfibre pulp mill site, transforming a previously contaminated industrial brownfield into the site of a major new energy infrastructure project.
The company has also supported local communities through its Community Partnership Programme and other initiatives. These include a contribution of nearly $1 million towards the purchase of a new CT scanner for Squamish General Hospital, helping strengthen local healthcare services.
While these community investments and philanthropic contributions were not included in the economic impact study, they form an important part of Woodfibre LNG’s broader commitment to delivering lasting benefits to the region throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Schauerte added: “Economic growth is most meaningful when communities can see and experience its impact. At Woodfibre LNG, that means creating employment, providing opportunities for local and Indigenous businesses, supporting community organisations and investing in the restoration of the site. We are committed to being a responsible long-term partner to the Squamish community and contributing positively to the region for decades to come.”
The Woodfibre LNG Project is currently approximately 75 per cent complete, with construction expected to be completed in mid-to-late 2027. Once operational, the facility will have the capacity to produce approximately 2.1 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually for export. It is also expected to become the world’s first net-zero LNG facility, marking an important milestone in the development of Canada’s LNG industry.
The latest economic impact findings underscore the project’s role in supporting Canada’s economic growth, strengthening British Columbia’s energy sector and creating long-term opportunities for businesses, workers and communities.

9. Building owners warned as sprinkler connection metals targeted
November 6, 2026
Source: New Zealand Police
Police are advising the public and building owners to be vigilant as thieves target important fire sprinkler system connections.
The warning comes as Police investigate a string of burglaries across parts of Auckland where metal couplings for Fire Sprinkler Inlets (FSI) at certain buildings are being stolen.
Inspector Dave Christoffersen, Area Commander for Counties Manukau West, says Police are aware of at least nine reports.
“These have occurred over recent weeks, primarily targeting commercial buildings after business hours and on weekends,” he says.
“So far this offending is localised to the Counties Manukau West and Auckland East area, however Police are working to establish if this offending is occurring in other communities.”
Police have today made one arrest, following a search warrant terminated by the Counties Manukau West Tactical Crime Unit.
The unit’s Acting Detective Sergeant Simon Kirby says: “We have recovered a number of stolen items at this property, including metal couplings allegedly stolen. Our enquiries are continuing.”
A 45-year-old man has so far been charged with two counts of burglary and will appear today in the Manukau District Court.
Building owners urged to be vigilant:
Police are asking building owners to check their sites, particularly around important service accesses such as where the inlets are located and ensure they are correctly secured.
“We’re also asking the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity around buildings,” Inspector Christoffersen says.
“Police intelligence suggests offending is likely to occur between 7pm and 5am.”
Inspector Christoffersen says Police are continuing to investigate the burglaries and will work to hold any offending to account.
Police, Fire Protection Association NZ are concerned offenders are unnecessarily putting the public, firefighters and property at risk.
These couplings are essential to allow firefighters to boost the sprinkler system’s water supply, to ensure that any fire is brought effectively under control. When damage occurs to these fittings it limits the actions of firefighters to enter the building to effect rescues, effectively putting lives at risk.
How can you help?
If you see suspicious activity occurring at the time, please call 111 immediately.
Any information to assist Police enquiries can be reported online or by calling 105.
ENDS.

10. Scam alert: Booking scam stings restaurants
November 6, 2026
Source: New Zealand Police
Scammers are serving up a tasty offer for restaurants and Police are warning this comes with a sour aftertaste.
Slimy offshore scam centres have begun rolling out a booking scam on Auckland-based restaurants. So far Chinese restaurants have been targeted, but this could easily spread further with the festive period approaching.
The Auckland City Financial Crime Unit have received several reports in recent weeks.
How does it work?
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Bolton says the specific scam works with a call to make a large group booking.
“An offshore scam centre is calling restaurants pretending to be based in New Zealand and seeking to make a large booking for a function,” he says.
“The catch is that the booking is on the condition that the restaurant pre-pay for a large order of abalone (pāua) from a supplier in China.”
Once the pre-payment is made to a bank account, the scammers will send back a fake confirmation of a bank transfer reimbursing the restaurant.
Detective Senior Sergeant Bolton says one restaurant pre-paid $15,000, which has since been lost offshore.
What can you do to stop it?
Police warn restaurants to be vigilant when being approached out of the blue in this manner.
“It’s coming to a busy time of year, so a phone call looking to secure a booking for a large function could seem appetising,” Detective Senior Sergeant Bolton says.
“You need to be extremely cautious if you’re being asked to pre-pay or transfer a large amount of money to a bank account.”
Police advise business owners not to engage.
“Restaurants and venues should have safeguards in place to protect themselves financially with event bookings,” Detective Senior Sergeant Bolton says.
“If bookings require pre-payment or transferring of large amounts of money, we will always advise conducting this arrangement in person.”
If you have information to assist Police enquiries, or have been an unfortunate victim to this scam, please report this online to Police or call 105.
ENDS.
