State Highway 33, Paengaroa, Bay of Plenty is closed following a serious crash this morning.
Police were called to the crash between Maungarangi Road and Old Coach Road around 9.20am.
The crash involved a car and a pedestrian, and one person has received serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised, and the road is expected to remain closed for some time while emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
