Police are appealing for information after specialised ski equipment was lost while being transported between Ohakune and Palmerston North.
The equipment is believed to have fallen from the roof of a vehicle sometime during the journey on Friday before 9.30am 25 September.
The items may have come off along State Highway 1 or while travelling through Bulls.
The missing gear includes:
- Two ski racks
- Six skis with bindings
- Specialised metal plates used for mono-skis
The equipment belongs to a group of paralympic skiers who were due to film in the Ruapehu area next week.
Acting Senior Sergeant Mike Linton from Central District Police says they are asking anyone who may have found the equipment, or who has information about its whereabouts, to get in touch.
“We would love to see this equipment returned to its owners and ask anyone who may have picked it up or seen it along the route to please contact Police.”
