Police are now able to release the name of the man who was found deceased after a car went off the Holmes Wharf into the Ōamaru Harbour on Tuesday 25 August.
He was Samisoni Talanoa, 69, from Ōamaru.
Police extend our deepest condolences to Samisoni’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, and anyone who has information or witnessed the crash that are yet to speak with us is urged to get it touch.

Police ask that Samisoni’s family be given privacy while they process and grieve this devastating loss.
