Two people have died after a serious two-vehicle crash in Peria last night.
Emergency services were called to Oruru Road near Jason Road about 8pm.
Sadly, two people were located deceased at the scene.
Two others were transported to hospital, one in a critical condition and one with serious injuries.
The road was closed while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene. It has since been reopened.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
