A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the alleged importation of controlled drugs.
It followed Wellington CIB executing a search warrant at an address in Karori on Wednesday.
Police located evidence relating to the importation, manufacture, possession, and possession for supply of controlled drugs, including 4kg of dried material containing dimethyltryptamine (DMT), cannabis, and magic mushrooms.
Specialist staff attended and assisted with the search.
The man faces charges including attempts to import and possession for supply. He’s due to reappear in the Wellington District Court on 27 August.
