Government Response to the New Zealand Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Learned

The Government has formally responded to the Royal Commission of Inquiry COVID-19 Lessons Learned Final Report. 

The Government’s Response is focused on ensuring New Zealand is prepared for future pandemics and that any response is proportionate, responsive and transparent.

We acknowledge the many New Zealanders that gave evidence to the Inquiry about the disruption and suffering they experienced during the pandemic, both because of the virus and the measures introduced to respond to it.
