One person has since died following a two-vehicle crash in Templeton, Canterbury, on Sunday 19 July.
The crash occurred on the corner of Kirk Road and West Coast Road and was reported at 4.40pm.
Two people were injured, one critically.
The critically injured person died of their injuries on Tuesday 21 July.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
Enquiries into the circumstance into the crash are ongoing.
