Riverton Wallacetown Highway/State Highway 99, Wallacetown, Southland, is blocked following a serious crash this evening.
Police were notified of the two-vehicle crash around 5.20pm. The road is blocked in both directions with diversions in place at Ryal Bush Wallacetown Road, and Oporo Flat Road.
Initial indicators are that there are serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised, and motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
