Motorists on State Highway 5 are urged to drive with caution, with ice causing delays and two minor crashes.
The conditions are particularly icy between the Summit and Te Haroto, and Police and contractors are in the area.
While no injuries have been reported, motorists are urged to drive to the conditions.
