Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash at the intersection of Buckland Road and Massey Road in Māngere.
The crash, between a car and a pedestrian, was reported to Police at 10.46am.
The pedestrian has suffered critical injuries and has been transported to hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit are in attendance, and the road has been closed while they examine the scene.
Detours are in place on Massy Road between Yates Road and alter Street, and on Buckland Road between Royton Ave and Allen Street.
Police are advising motorists to expect delays and avoid the area id possible.
