Hawke’s Bay Expressway/State Highway 2, Napier, is currently blocked in both directions following a crash this afternoon.
Police were called to the two-vehicle crash, near the northbound Meeanee off-ramp, around 3.40pm.
Initial indicators are that there are serious injuries.
The expressway has been closed between the northbound Meeanee Road off-ramp and the Kennedy Road on-ramp.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
