Police can confirm one person has died following a crash in Pōkeno this evening.
The crash, involving three vehicles on the Waikato Expressway was reported just before 7pm.
One person died at the scene, two other people were injured, one critically and one moderately.
Waikato Expressway remains closed southbound between Great South Road and Pioneer Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
