Hon Simeon Brown, Deputy Leader of the House, made a statement about the business of the House for the sitting week commencing on Tuesday, 30 July 2024.

Oral questions

Twelve questions to Ministers were answered.

Government business

The Secondary Legislation Confirmation Bill was read a first time and referred to the Regulations Review Committee, to be reported by 29 November 2024.

The committee stage of the Local Government (Electoral Legislation and Māori Wards and Māori Constituencies) Amendment Bill was completed.

The debate on the second reading of the Local Government (Water Services Preliminary Arrangements) Bill was interrupted with two speeches remaining.

At 5.57 pm the House adjourned.
