26 June 2024 – Chief Economist and Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) member Paul Conway will not be participating in the July 2024 Monetary Policy Review (MPR) due to pre-planned annual leave.

Mr Conway’s leave was approved by the MPC Chair ahead of time. An interim MPC appointment will not be required due to the one-off nature of this.

Adam Richardson will be acting Chief Economist while Mr Conway is on leave and will be attending the MPR forecasting period as a non-voting observer.
