The design of Moscow’s newest metro train, the Moskva-2024, has been recognized with a prestigious international award. The train’s design project has received a Silver A’Design Award in the Industrial Design category.
Every year, thousands of projects are submitted for the A’Design Award. They are evaluated through a multi-level judging system based on 11 criteria. All submissions are anonymously and independently reviewed by focus groups, media, scholars, and design experts.
The Moskva-2024 train’s design project was created by Transmashholding in collaboration with 2050.LAB specifically for the Moscow Metro. The new train impressed the jury with its modern exterior, ergonomic, comfortable, and spacious interior, innovative lighting design, and eco-friendly materials.
The Moscow Metro is one of the most innovative and comfortable in the world. This has been recognized by both our passengers and the jury of prestigious international awards.
Moreover, in 2026-30, it is planned to develop a new modification of metro trains with elements of driverless control, a completely new train design and greater capacity.
