Around 12 firefighters are working on the Port Hills fireground today. Incident Commander Steve Kennedy says the firefighters are continuing to dig out and extinguish deep-seated burning tree roots in the Christchurch Adventure Park. This work will take some time to complete. Work is also continuing on the forestry skid site. A drone flight will be undertaken tonight to map any new hotspots.
