The Tāmaki Makaurau Recovery Office has recently published a guide to reading geotechnical risk assessment reports to make it easier for homeowners to understand the report they receive about their property. We are sending the guide to homeowners alongside their geotechnical report and it is also available online.
You can find this new guide under ‘Terms and guidance documents’ on the council website’s storm recovery documents page.

Our document library contains information about the recovery programme and guides to help affected homeowners, organised into categories:
Category handbooks: to guide you through the process for your 3 and 2P category.
Risk assessment guides: to help you understand how we assess future risk on your property.
Guides for requesting a review of Recovery Office decisions: to help you understand our storm recovery processes and how you can request a review our decisions.
Other useful information: guides will help you understand our storm recovery work.
Terms and guidance documents: agreements to guide our decision-making about storm recovery efforts.
The library also includes agendas, meeting minutes and workshop notes to help you understand how we came to our decisions about recovery efforts.
