AUTHORITY TO ADMINISTER OATH
CLERK: Honourable members, I will now read the Commission authorising me to administer the Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance required by law to be taken or made by members.
In accordance with section 11 of the Constitution Act 1986 I, the Rt Hon Dame Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, authorise you,
David Martin Wilson, Clerk of the House of Representatives,
to administer to members of Parliament the Oath or Affirmation of allegiance to His Majesty the King, required to be taken or made by every such member before that member shall be permitted to sit or vote in the House of Representatives.
