With large crowds expected in the capital for two games this week, football fans and commuters will need to be on the ball when it comes to getting around in Wellington.

The New Zealand vs Philippines and USA vs The Netherlands fixtures on Tuesday and Thursday are expected to be well attended, meaning many people will likely be travelling to and from the city on game days.

It will mean more people on the roads and using public transport, and this will coincide with peak commute times.

Tuesday’s game is in the evening with supporters arriving at the stadium between 4:00 and 5:30 pm.

Thursday’s game is in the afternoon with supporter leaving the stadium between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
