Overseas merchandise trade statistics provide information on imports and exports of merchandise goods between New Zealand and other countries.
Key facts
May 2023 monthly values are actual and compared with May 2022.
- Goods exports rose $189 million (2.8 percent), to $7.0 billion.
- Goods imports rose $292 million (4.4 percent), to $6.9 billion.
- The monthly trade balance was a surplus of $46 million.
