All written submissions that fall within the scope of this consultation and are received before the closing date will be considered.

Why your views matter

C4 was effective as of 28 June 2018. A person who deals with a radiation source must comply with C4. Deal with is interpreted in the Act and includes to manage, control, use, sell, and supply a radiation source.Target audiences for this consultation includes all regulated parties that will be affected by a revised C4 and other persons, or organisations involved with dental radiology.

All feedback received by the Ministry as part of the consultation will be reviewed and will inform the revision of C4.

What happens following the consultation?

The Ministry’s Office of Radiation Safety will analyse and respond to feedback arising from the consultation. Following the analysis of in-scope submissions, consideration will be given to making improvements to the revised C4.

The review of C4 will be completed before 28 June 2023.
