Regional gross domestic product (GDP) is a geographic breakdown of national-level GDP, which is New Zealand’s official measure of economic activity. Figures are expressed in nominal terms, which means they are not adjusted for price effects.
Regional gross domestic product: Year ended March 2022 does not include the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle. It covers the periods up to the year ended March 2022, while the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle will be covered in the year ended March 2023 release.
