The northbound lane of State Highway 2/Western Hutt Road is likely to remain closed for another couple of hours following a crash earlier this morning.
Initial indications are that two people were treated for serious injuries in the crash, which happened just before the State Highway 58 turnoff around 4:45am.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
