This plan sets out details of our gender and ethnic pay gaps, the drivers behind it, and the actions we’ll take to support closing this gap and more broadly Te Kawa Mataaho three-year goals:
- Making substantial progress toward closing gender, Māori, Pacific, and ethnic pay gaps.
- Accelerating progress for wāhine Māori, Pacific wāhine, and wāhine from ethnic communities.
- Creating fairer workplaces for all, including disabled people and members of rainbow communities.
Building off our previous Action Plans 2020 – 2021 and incorporating Kia Toipoto’s six milestones, we have strengthened our detailed action plan for the year ahead. Actions from the plan will be incorporated into our wider Diversity and Inclusion programme and progress will be regularly monitored.
By putting Kia Toipoto into action, agencies and Crown entities can achieve the expectations set out in the Public Service Act 2020 and the Government Workforce Policy Statement 2021.
