Here are the Seasonal Climate Outlook for November – January Highlights from NIWA:
– La Niña will continue to have a meaningful influence on Aotearoa New Zealand’s climate in the coming months
– Higher than normal air pressure over and to the south of the South Island and lower than normal north of the country
– Above average temperatures nationwide, with periodic humidity expected from November
– Sea surface temperatures may increase notably in November
– Varied rainfall depending on region, but generally normal levels. Heavy rain predicted for western South Island in early November.
