An independent panel has approved plans to demolish a seven-level parking building in Federal Street, central Auckland, and construct a 55-storey, 357-unit residential apartment building.
The apartment building will include car and cycle parking and ground floor commercial space.
The panel granted resource consents, subject to conditions outlined in its decision document.
P0012 Auckland NZ Pty Limited applied for resource consent under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020.
The decision comes 62 working days after the application was lodged with the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
The EPA is not involved in the decision-making – we provide advice and administrative support for the panel convener, Judge Laurie Newhook, and the expert consenting panels he appoints.
