The Tauranga Harbour Bridge (SH2) will be reduced to one lane for road users heading towards Tauranga from 6pm until 5am during July.
From Sunday 3 July until Sunday 31 July, the two westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane to enable scaffolding to be erected and inspections and repairs to be carried out under the bridge.
Due to all work happening at nights, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency does not expect any significant disruption to traffic.
Some of the above works are weather dependent and may be postponed in the case of poor weather.
For up-to-date information on road works, traffic, detours and delays, drivers are encouraged to visit the Waka Kotahi Journey Planner website(external link).
Waka Kotahi thanks you for your patience while we complete this essential work to make our state highways safer and more resilient.
