Road repair and resurfacing works will take place at two locations on State Highway 4 in Taumarunui later this month.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency contractors will structurally repair patches and resurface at the overbridge near Paraone Street (SH4 Railway overbridge), and also complete asphalt patch repairs on SH4 between Short Street and Manuaute Street, Taumarunui.

Work is expected to start on Tuesday 19 April and take approximately 3-4 nights to complete (weather permitting).

Crews will operate overnight between 7.00pm – 6:00am, to minimise disruption to residents, customers and businesses. Both sites will operate under Stop/Go traffic management, with delays of no more than 5-10 minutes.

While parking directly outside of some businesses may be impacted for a portion of the works, access to businesses will be maintained at all times.

Work may be impacted by weather or other unforeseen circumstances and people are advised to check for the most current travel information on Journey Planner.
