This consensus guideline has been updated to include the latest evidence-based research to guide clinical practice for treatment of postpartum haemorrhage. The consensus guideline is designed for health professionals to use to support clinical judgement, knowledge and expertise, and provide a consistent approach for management and treatment. This consensus guideline, has been updated to include Te Tiriti o Waitangi, recognising the Ministry of Health’s obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

This update also includes the use of gender additive language.

The review process was supported by a technical advisory group and a multi-disciplinary steering group and wide-spread stakeholder consultation and feedback. The Ministry would like to thank everyone that has been involved with the update and those that have provided feedback.

Please note that the accompanying poster Treating Postpartum Haemorrhage must have all three pages displayed in sequence.
