Overnight Closure for SH2 Hewletts Road Flyover

Waka Kotahi advises that the SH2 Hewletts Road Flyover will be closed overnight on Wednesday 16 March, to allow the completion of essential maintenance activities.

The flyover will be closed from 6pm until 6am the next morning, while contractors undertake repairs to the road surface.  During this time traffic will be detoured via Hewletts Road and Maunganui Road. Minor delays are expected during the work period.

Should weather or other factors such as COVID-19 related resourcing issues prevent the team from completing the work as planned, the closure will be re-programmed for the next suitable night. Up to date information will be available via the Journey Planner and on portable electronic signage boards at each end of the Flyover.
