New Zealand will move into the COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System) at 11:59pm on Thursday 2 December. This means we will no longer be using the Alert Levels (1-4), but instead the new 3 colour approach to managing COVID-19 in the community. Today the Government confirmed which colour each region will go into. Click here for the latest update.  The regions that are relevant to EIT are;

  • Auckland – Red
  • Gisborne/Tairāwhiti – Red
  • Wairoa – Red
  • Hawkes Bay – Orange
