The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, the Crown entity that manages the $60 billion NZ Super Fund, has today announced the appointment of Pablo Sosa to Head of Portfolio Investments.

In his role, Mr Sosa will be responsible for leading the Portfolio Investments Team, a major source of active returns for the Fund, and driving the Guardians’ refreshed Tactical Credit Opportunities mandate.

Mr Sosa replaces George Crosby, who was appointed to the new role of General Manager – Portfolio Completion in June 2021.

Joining the Guardians in 2008, Mr Sosa has held various roles across Finance, Risk, Strategy and Portfolio Investments. His strong technical knowledge places him in a good position to lead the Portfolio Investments Team and implement the Guardians’ long-term investment strategy.

Prior to his role at the Guardians, Mr Sosa held various finance roles at Unilever Argentina including Supply Chain Finance, Marketing Finance and Treasury.

Mr Sosa graduated Cum Laude from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, specialising in Finance at the Universidad de San Andrés.
