Māpura Studios, based in Tāmaki Makaurau, is a creative space that provides programmes and activities in visual arts practice, creative expression, dance-movement, music and art therapy for people living with disability and diversity.

This year marks seven years of the annual exhibition at Pah Homestead.

There is a Samoan proverb, Lupe sa vao eseese a ua fuifui faatasi, when translated means, birds from all different forests are now all together. Lupe is a common Pasifika female name, and females have the creative force of giving birth to others.

We artists are fruitful in our artwork, spiritually, physically and mentally. We come together in giving thanks to our creator, to each other and to our progress as Pacific Island artists.

Who knew our artwork was our talent, who knew we were this great? Our artwork is an expression of joy.

Artwork available for purchase.
