Construction works continues at pace along State Highway 2 between Waihī and Tauranga as we edge towards summer.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Bay of Plenty System Manager, Roger Brady, says Waka Kotahi is currently looking at multiple communications channels to ensure road users of this SH2 corridor are informed of delays in a way that best suits them.

“As well as traditional media, we will be updating the SH2 Waihī to Tauranga Corridor webpage and the SH2 Waihī to Ōmokoroa safety improvements webpage on a weekly basis with any traffic impacts and delays you may expect,” says Mr Brady.

Waka Kotahi’s monthly corridor update will be out in the first week of November and will also contain information on what to expect in the month ahead.
