  • Featuring Ingrid Bauer, APO Principal Harp
  • Ibert – Trio for Violin, Cello and Harp
  • Flagello – Suite for Harp and String Trio
  • Sofia Gubaidulina – Five Études for Harp, Double Bass and Percussion
  • Françaix – Quintet No.1 for Flute, Harp and String Trio

The harp is more than music for angels and Hollywood flashbacks, as Ingrid Bauer shows us in this wide-ranging programme.

The mystical Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina has an endlessly surprising sonic palette, and the American Nicolas Flagello writes with a Romantic sensibility.

Ibert and Françaix (like all French composers) simply adored the instrument, as can be heard in these bubbly pieces.
