Get together with a crafty friend or two and have fun making your own stylish drum lampshade in this hands-on class at the village.

You will make a small 310mm (12”) tapered or straight drum with standard fitting suitable for table or pendant, under the guidance of the expert Claire from Oscuro Lampshades.

You’ll be guided through the process of covering the shade and can line the inside too if you like.

All materials included except please bring 0.5 meters of standard width fabric of your choice. Cotton or linen works best. Please NO silks, sheers, velvet or heavy upholstery fabric. If you want to line your shade you’ll need the same amount of fabric in addition.

A limited amount of fabric will be available to purchase at approx. $10-15 (cash only). Designer fabrics – approx. $45 per 0.5m cut from the roll.

Tickets include entry to explore the village beforehand. The Homestead café will be open of you want to have lunch or coffee there and make a day of it.

$140 per person. Only eight spaces per class, bookings essential.
