Join David Bade as he presents some of the highlights from the 2021 edition of ‘Auckland’s Heritage Counts’ – an annual compilation of up-to-date statistics and research on Auckland’s heritage places.

David began ‘Auckland’s Heritage Counts’ in 2018 with the aim to highlight the variety and extent of Auckland’s heritage and the social and economic benefits these places have.

Some key statistics/research to be covered include:

  • The effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on visitation to heritage attractions.
  • What proportion of visitors to Auckland associate the city with heritage?
  • How many Aucklanders live within a 5-minute walk of a protected heritage place?

This event will be held in the Auckland Art Gallery Auditorium (Corner of Kitchener and Wellesley Streets) and online via Zoom.
