Join us at the Ōtara Markets this Saturday to find out more and share you views about the Auckland Light Rail project.
The team behind the project is holding an open event for the Ōtara community, giving local people the opportunity to learn more about the project, key benefits of light rail and what it could mean for them.
Our team will be on hand to answer your questions, collect your feedback and hand out brochures for you to take away.
There will also be a live artist on-site, Marcus Winter, who will be creating a piece of art that reflects the opportunities that light rail will make for the Ōtara community.
Marcus is a well-known sand artist who has recently discovered an interest in murals. His passion stems from a desire to preserve and celebrate his culture and background.
To keep the kids busy, there will also be a kids art space. Young market goers will be encouraged to get busy with paint and paper, with the winner’s creation to be displayed on a local bus.
And it’s not just the children who are in to win big. Mai FM will be bringing their Spinning Wheel along, giving attendees a chance to win some awesome prizes.
So come and find us. We’ll be easy to spot. Just keep an eye out for the Auckland Light Rail branded van.
