Oil On Canvas & Poetic Narrative. This body of work celebrates the indigenous creation myths of Aotearoa. Iconic Maori designs and Michelangelo’s classical life forms merge as energetic entities that dance out the story on canvas.
The viewer is invited on a journey through the five stages of creation, from Te-Kore to Te Ao Mā-ra-ma / Void to Light.
Simultaneously, the images challenge the viewer to embrace deeply human experiences that transcend time, space and culture.
