The moon is its brightest on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar and in East Asia and Southeast Asia the Moon Festival is a time to celebrate the arrival of the new moon.
Held at Potters Park in Balmoral, the Festival showcases a range of Asian cultures along with an infusion of diverse ethnic representations through dance and performances, arts & craft, food and interactive light displays.
The lighting displays this year are a family-favourite drawcard and if the 2019 attendance is anything to go by, this year will be huge.
For foodies and the adventurous, it’s a time to visit Dominion Road to explore and discover mouth-watering diverse culinary fare on offer by local eateries.
For families and people of all ages – come along and join the fun. Explore eat and enjoy.
The Dominion Rd Moon Festival is brought to you by the Albert-Eden Local Board and the Dominion Road Business Association.
