An introduction to the art and science of Traditional Polynesian Navigation, or Wayfinding.

Come and hear about how the ancestors of Māori navigated and settled the entire Pacific ocean using mātauranga (knowledge) that allowed them to intimately understand the world around them

We’ll also look at the modern day renaissance of Wayfinding and how this knowledge is being drawn on to help address contemporary issues of our time, Matariki being one example.
