Most New Zealanders doing well despite the challenges of COVID-19 – Media release
29 June 2021
A new report on wellbeing statistics suggests that, while the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the country, New Zealanders have remained resilient, Stats NZ said today.
Wellbeing statistics: a year in review (June 2020 to March 2021 quarter) brings together data from the four quarters of a wellbeing supplement, which was added to the household labour force survey to monitor the wellbeing of New Zealanders through an unprecedented period of disruption.
The data showed that while there were some small changes, most New Zealanders remained satisfied with their lives overall and continued to find the things they do in life worthwhile.
