Shake those writer blocks and unleash your zinemaking beast. The 24 Hour Zinemaking Challenge is back in July.

Participants will be given a random zine genre, guidance and materials to make an A3 folded zine in 24hrs. Free printing and photocopying will be available at the Auckland Central City Library for reproducing up to 5 copies.

The challenge kicks off when genres are drawn at 3pm on Saturday. You can start working on your zine at the library until it closes at 5pm.

The library will open again at 10am on Sunday and you can submit your final zines until the 24hrs are up at 3pm.

All zines that make it to the finish line will be added to the library’s zine collection and enter Auckland Zinefest’s Best of the Fest competition! The winner will be announced at the Zinefest closing party and receive a special prize.

Email us at akzinefest@gmail.com to register OR register in person at Auckland Central Library on Saturday 10 July from 2pm.
